“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the Lisette M. Savoie Barberio Scholarship possible. I was beyond ecstatic to learn that I had received this scholarship and am extremely appreciative of your generosity.

I am currently double majoring in Early Childhood Education and English with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher. The financial assistance you provided will be of great help to me in paying for my education, and it will allow me to focus all of my efforts into my studies.

Thank you again for your generosity and support. A goal of mine is to eventually give something back to others, both as a teacher and possibly a scholarship to future students like myself.“

"I am attending Champlain College in beautiful Burlington, Vermont, studying Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in Global Studies.  My ability to connect with children drew me to consider the field of Education when I was very young.  My passion was fed at Hudson High School where I began my journey in Jeannie Graffeo's Child Growth class throughout my sophomore year.  I continued to take her courses, Early Childhood Education I & II, where I was able to intern daily at the local preschool. I fell in love with the rewards of educating and surrounding myself with children, and decided that it was the best decision to pursue a teaching position.  I hope to give back to society, contribute to a brighter future, and lead a happy, healthy life.  I am so grateful for the aid I have received for my educational endeavors."

"I will be attending Merrimack College as an Early Childhood Education major in the Honors Program. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher.  I love watching children learn and grow, and I look forward to my future working with children." - Caitlin McGowan

"I am planning on attending Bridgewater State University.  I have always wanted to be a teacher.  My favorite subject has always been English and I loved the idea of shaping the lives of what would be my future students and being able to help anyone that I can.  Teaching to me is one of the most important professions out there because they shape the children of our future and are able to apply all the knowledge they have to a job well worth working." - Meghan Moran
